Re: Fuel gauge always showing full ?
Several people die each year from licking PP3 9V batteries to check whether they still have any juice! 12V can give you a nasty shock and can potentially stop your heart. Pardon ? Where on earth did you read that!!!! That I am afraid is utter nonsense! The heart needs about 15mA of current thru it ...

I think you'll find he is away at the moment with a problem of his own but I'm sure he will check in shortly!

Re: Smoke from roof panel heater vents
Just wondered if anyone has any idea what might be causing this and where the source of the problem might be. [Not sure where the ducting goes behind the panels to get hot air from the heater matrix (front or rear) to these roof panel vents The Lush diagrams give some feeling for the run; http://lu...

Re: Deconstructing the Sure Temperature Sensor
The PIC is configured to use the 8MHz internal oscillator and there is an OSCTUNE register. I don't know if this affects ADC. Only if you reduce the Tad time to less than 1.5uS but you can always then divide the clock down by between 2 & 64 to increase it again, there is a longer "limit&qu...

Re: Constant beeping when engine off
Right.... OK there are only two standard Beepers in a Bongo; The main alarm (Keys in /Lights on/reversing etc) this is the one down in the drivers footwell behind the plastic trim at the front of the door. The second one is at the rear of the Bongo in the offside pillar and its beeps for the AFT (ye...

Re: Constant beeping when engine off
Which beeper is sounding ? Assume its the normal drivers foot one, but it could be the AFT or another device that's fitted perhaps ?

Re: cold starting problems
They also checked a relay controlling the plus was working and they think it is. Think ?? The only have to put a meter on the Glowplug bus and they will see if its working and that volts are getting to the plugs themselves and that the voltage is the full 12+ volts, there shouldn't be any thinking ...

Sounds like your sorted Joy just picked up the message, we had been out most of the afternoon, despite the weather! Hope the radiator replacement sorts it for you.

Re: New Battery for V6
Most batteries are available with the terminals "reversed" also with different terminal types, the trouble with Halfords is they try to remove "options" to save customers getting confused as to what they need!

Re: Interior (middle) cabin light wiring path
Have you checked the sheet after the diagram itself ? It shows the position of the wiring looms within the vehicle for those circuits. As far as I can see the colours do remain the same for a given version no matter which loom IN/IN2 or F they are running in. The only bit where they differ is the wi...

Re: no charge and sediment light on dash
I do agree, the nuts are hardly what I would expect to find carrying 90 Amps! And any form of connection relying on just a pressure connection is asking for problems, even if its only carrying the exciter field current. However I can't remember now seeing where the earth connection was made, and not...

Re: no charge and sediment light on dash
Ady I guess those 5 nuts we didn't initially remove when looking at the alternator, might actually be carrying the earth connection back to the chassis ? This would explain the problems above. A trifle surprised however, but it sounds the sort of thing that occurs

Re: Idenifying blown fuses
Is this a 12 volt socket or a 240 volt socket ?
If its 240v then check the MCB's /RCD in the EHU switch box else if its 12 volt then the conversion will have a separate 12 volt fuse panel somewhere which you will need to check out.

Re: door problems on a windy day
Yes we had this happen down in Cornwall earlier this year, I couldn't find any sign of hinge movement but the wing needed to be carefully pushed back to its normal position using a bar and some padding. The only damage as such is the paint work that still needs a bit more attention. The noise howeve...
