Just remember if you have an LB with the interior lights wired to the LB when you connect the alarm (which will be wired to the starter battery) to the door switches you will be effectively connecting the batteries together in parralel. Going on what you have said with the door open warning light coming on id say there is a good possibility that it could also be bringing your interior lights on which in turn has flattened your battery ??

Ok, so done a bit of mythbusting today. Shorting out the switch doesent work to bypass it as the switch has to be pressed then released before the roof will close.Simon Jones wrote:Dunno. One way to find out

But if you join the 2 wires at the switch wont it be like the switch button being held down constantly ?

Ive also been thinking of doing this, not looked at a wiring diagram yet but couldnt you just leave the switch wiring shorted out so as to simulate the switch being held down all the time ?

assuming you have a 95 2.5 diesel model then A1-01 is the starter motor (with combined solenoid) & A1-04 is the starter relay.

I don't see how anyone draining the fuel tank would mess about with any of the afore mentioned sensors....got to be something very simple.
