Re: PMS3 charger repair
Interested in this too as my father in laws PMS3 in his motorhome has also packed in, just the 12v charger part. Everything else on it seems ok. They use the fridge on 240v on sites & just use a maintenance trickle charger when at home plugged into the internal 240v sockets to keep the leisure b...

Re: On no seized engine.
I take it the garage have ruled out something on the aux drive seized? A seized alternator or AC compressor can give the impression of a seized engine. Fiat Puntos are famous for the alternator seizing solid due to a design flaw in the scuttle area water drain it lets water drip into the alternator....

Re: Stoplock Pro Elite - does it fit Bongos? And exhaust sensor.
Have just bought a very nice Bongo - now trying to make it secure. I am told that it is not worth buying an immobiliser as thieves can easily deal with it. Any immobiliser or steering wheel lock can be dealt with, its more about how much it can slow someone down to make it not worth it. I would say...

Re: Slide door drains my battery when open??
What setup do you have ? is there a leisure battery & if so what battery is draining? do you have a swap over loom to change the power for the blinds & interior lights to leisure battery? how long are we talking with the side door open to drain the battery? Also as you haven't mentioned it I...

Re: Door locks
The tubular locks are a waste of time, there are tools available online that can open them with practically no skill whatsoever. The other issue is you could get the best hardened, drill & pick resistant locks but at the end of the day they are mounted on a piece of sheet metal a few mm thick. T...

Re: Key Fob communicating to mother ship!
I don't think remote locking is standard/factory fit. Im pretty sure mines is factory fitted, there is no evidence of it being an aftermarket kit (I have fitted loads of them in the past). All wiring, connections & equipment certainly look factory fitted to me. I have now done away with ...

Re: Door locks
The steering locks are (apparently) different between airbag & non airbag models. There wont be any difference in the door locks barrels. On that note has anyone found a supplier of blank locks so I can make it up to suit my key? Some scumbag (unsuccessfully) tried to break in to mines last week...

Re: Alarm going off.where is backup battery
The back up battery is normally located internally in the siren itself, follow where the noise is coming from but in most alarms the siren is sealed.

Re: Headlamps and what to do!
I have fitted an HID conversion, the downside is because the Bongo uses H4 bulbs the flash function is not very effective if the lights are not already on as they take a couple of seconds to get up to full brightness. Thanks for you reply NTH, Just wondered if you could expand on the "HID"...

Re: Headlamps and what to do!
Nightbreakers are great but the big downside is the lifespan of them is shocking, i tried a couple of sets in my other car & neither set even lasted 3 months (aprox only 30% of that night driving). They aint cheap so could work out quite expensive to replace every few months. Yes they were genui...

Where did you fit the tank?cwilliams255 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:01 pm On the subject of tiny tanks, I could only find space for a 2.5L tank on my v6. I’ve seen some bigger ones near the radiator but I wasn’t that keen on it being there.

If this is like the Eberspacher/Webasto heaters the angle the pump sits at is important to correct operation, Is it mounted in the correct orientation?
