Re: TPS error 12, replace or adjust?

Thanks again. That's how I have read it too when I looked at past threads but I just wasn't sure. I suppose it will make more sense when I tackle it later. I think there is a good chance that I may need a new sensor. Not sure why it would suddenly need adjusting. Also confused why it is intermittent...

Re: TPS error 12, replace or adjust?

Thanks g8dhe. I'll have a look into that. Kind of learning as I go here but eager to get this sorted. For my own information, am I right in thinking that to adjust the TPS, I remove the 2 screws holding it in place and adjust it from the other side as in here: https://i.imgur.com/ZTMRrHW.jpg Or do I...

Re: Any Bongo friendly workshop in Fife?

Just an update. Campers Scotland have recommended Hunters in Falkirk. I can't vouch for them as I haven't use them yet but will report back if/when I do. I can't speak highly enough off Campers Scotland and Gary that has been dealing with my enquiry. He went out of his way to help which I really app...

TPS error 12, replace or adjust?

Hi all. Having a bit of an issue and thought I’d keep it documented here as it might be helpful to others in the future. A couple of times whilst I’ve been driving, the hold light has started flashing and the car starts acting unpredictably. Revving highly, dropping speed etc. It’s hard to be more s...

Re: Any Bongo friendly workshop in Fife?

Had an email back. They are hoping to recommend a garage for me regarding bodywork so you could be right Toots.

Re: Any Bongo friendly workshop in Fife?

Thanks for reply. I had a price from Campers Scotland for doing an underseal so just assumed they would be fine carrying out repairs on vans they hadn't sold. I've emailed them and will see what they reply.

Re: New member, New Bongo - Advice on rust

Well, cutting out and replacing is far beyond me. Hoping to stop by Campers Scotland tomorrow and get their thoughts. Was really hoping for a cheap keep it at bay fix for now till I get some decent savings together. I'll see what they say though. I enquired about getting the underseal re-done with t...

Re: New member, New Bongo - Advice on rust

Thanks for the replies. I thought there was a chance the first pic was a stone chip or something. So, on that mark, would I rub down with emery paper then touch up with kurust, then touch up pen? As for the others, yes the dreaded rear arch rust. As you said, I have hopefully caught it early enough....

Re: Any Bongo friendly workshop in Fife?

Well, after looking on here a bit, I'm going to give Campers Scotland in Grangemouth a try. Hoping to pop in just so they can have a look at the rust spots etc and then will get myself booked in. Will feed back here on my experience. The rust is mild and I'm sure a general garage around here could h...

Any Bongo friendly workshop in Fife?

Hi all. Hoping to have a new underseal put on and a few areas of of mild-ish rust looked at and wonder if anyone here has used anyone in Fife that did a good job? Perhaps someone that is a little familiar with the Bongo.

New member, New Bongo - Advice on rust

Hi all. Love this place and have learned loads. Signed up for the members area and was happy to see a lot more information there. Just hoping someone can offer a little advice. Purchased a Bongo recently. 1998, Automatic, 4WD, Diesel, 72,000 miles. The van was under sealed upon arrival in the UK in ...
