belt noise

Around a year ago I had the alternator and aircon belts changed since they were making a squishy noise. This succeed the issue. I've recently changed the alternator and am struggling to stop the belts squeaking and chattering a bit when the engine is started (it goes away when warmed up). I keep not...

Re: Passenger Window Stopped Working

I presume you've checked the rocker switch on the driver side door switch panel hasn't been accidentally turned on? This is an override that prevents the passenger side window opening.

Re: Your experience bongoing with a 3-6 months baby ?

We've had great trips with our kids even when they were babies. We've also had some bad ones (think vomiting in the middle of the night!). When we had one baby and whilst my wife was still breast feeding, she and the baby would sleep downstairs. We used a pop up travel cot with a side opening so it ...

I just had the same issue. A new alternator sorted it.

Re: Re-Trim Complete (Nearly) & Tron Dials.....

Lots of bits of my Bongo interior and exterior are 3D printed! I've been working with this tech since 2003 and use high end stereolithography machines and polyjet printers at work. For example, I've used 3D scanning, CAD and 3D printing to produce neat sections of custom body trim to fill in where t...

Re: mysterious roof leak!

I suggest automotive windscreen sealer would give a better result than big standard silicone sealer (as used in bathrooms). It's designed to be used in contact with metal and paint.

Re: car seats and rock n roll bed

I'd hesitate to use a rock and roll bed to carry passengers (or at least ones that hadn't been crash tested and well installed).

Re: Saved by the bell (and a rattle)

We just had a great night away in the Bongo, which seemed fine on a good long trip (despite me accidentally leaving the header tank cap off, with it left on top of the leisure battery until we arrived. Talk about lucky!). It seems that Garth tyres and auto service can be declared a Bongo savvy garag...

Re: Saved by the bell (and a rattle)

Hoses changed by a garage. A trial run of around 5 miles, break, then another 5 back didn't flag up any problems with the bleeding. I may have found a new Bongo friendly' garage in s Wales.

Re: MOT Failure :-( - Exhaust / Wheel Spacer Question

I went full ss after going through 2 back boxes in 4 years. I've not noticed Any difference in noise and it still looks solid. I plan to keep the Bongo for a good few years (fingers crossed), so thought that the extra cost would be offset by not paying at least twice.

Re: Saved by the bell (and a rattle)

Good advice indeed. I purchased all of the main hoses and two smaller diameter ones as well. Still on the fence about diy or garage. I'm sure I could do it, but it's always a balance between time, money, & frustration factor.

Re: Saved by the bell (and a rattle)

Cheers for the advice. I'll look again at the access (which seems prettty tight) and sus out the best way to DIY. Does anybody have advice on how to get to the pipes and the order to do the job in? Should I buy ramps to lift up the front end to work under it more easily? I did come accross a rather ...
