MPPT controller-adding a multi port panel??

Question for dodgey if around, or anyone else if possible for an answer please. First, thanks to Roger for superb after sales service recently. Question....I have been told there is a power take off from the MPPT (last two on the right). I want to add a 3-port panel consisting of a USB, a 12v power ...

Re: Flat Batteries

Thanks Bob. I did think of that but I was a bit worried that if the Solar panel was still throwing v's at a disconnected LB battery I would do some damage to it. Likewise, would leaving the LB battery connected and on charge also do some damage? As I mentioned before, I really do not know what is be...

Re: Flat Batteries

Thank you for your comments my friend. Yes, I was aware of the function of the Zig unit, just a stupid mistake to not switch it back. Anyway, the LB would not fire up the radio yesterday so some thing is up if the Solar panel ain't feeding it, and it's all beyond me. I admited defeat and contacted a...

Flat Batteries

Not being very technical I could'nt figure out what happened here. I have a 100w solar panel fitted by dodgey last year, which has performed without fail. I fitted a second-hand LB at the same time (100Ah). However: 1. Flat start battery today. The LB was also flat. 2. The Vitrifrigo fridge would on...

Re: Cubby hole switch mod

Very neat and tidy job roosmith. Could I be a bit cheeky and ask if you have a template and fitting advice please? This is a little job I have been meaning to get round to. I thought maybe a couple of those magnetic cabinet door catches might hold it all in place?? Kind Regards.

Re: HELP: Confused over best DAB bluetooth car stereo to buy

I don't know if it has already been posted, but, I use a DAB wireless device plugged into a spare ciggy outlet which finds a free FM frequency on existing radio. You then tune your radio to that frequency and bingo! It does fade in and out depending on the reception 'shadows' but on the whole its go...

glory hole cover help

Hi all. I have been looking for a way to hold a cover flush to the outer of the recess without drilling holes if poss. I have searched the forum without success. I intend to mount a couple of rocker switches, an all in one ciggy lighter type power outlet with USB sockets, and my DAB radio gadget whi...

Re: Double Din Radio with satnav

Hi. I bought the exact same thing a couple of months back. The satnav works fine with the system's map software, including the voice. So far everything on it has worked fine. I have hooked it up to a mobile EE internet gizmo and it picks up WiFi without probs, including in and around the Black Mount...
