Re: Will alternative clock spring fit??

Cheers. As it happens I managed to locate one from a breaker for reasonable money. Others had been quoting anything up to £80 when you can pick up clock springs for other Mazda models on Flea Bay for around the £20 mark. Good find, trouble is stick the word Bongo on it and people will pay and charg...

Re: Will alternative clock spring fit??

Clock Spring ??? It allows the steering wheel horn/airbag to function even tho the wheel can rotate. Any techies out there have any idea whether the clock spring from a 96 Mazda 323 will fit my 96 Bongo? The unit itself appears identical, just not sure whether the wiring will be common on both. Tha...

Re: Engine Size Question????

Hi all, We are brand new Bongo owners (or at least will be when we pick it up on Friday!) and have a query. The vehicle we are buying has its engine capacity described as 2190cc on the V5 document, but I was under the impression that all diesel Bongo's are 2494cc or 2499cc - I am therefore assuming...

Re: Removing air bag steering wheel

I think you might find that if your insurance company finds out then you will have invalidated your insurance - in other words you will be driving without insurance.... Will tell the insurance company, but dont know why they weren't interested in any of its specs, just the basics and didn't even as...

Re: Alternative Turbo Timer

As turbo timers are illegal isn't there a way to use an LED that stays on for 30 seconds when the gearbox is put into Park? There must be an electric pick up as there is a light on the dash anyway, I wouldn't know how to make the LED go off after 30s though. Just a thought But how does the LED repl...

Re: I-alert dilemma

My iAlert is bolted to the head at the back (as per Haydn) and is set to A0 (100). My normal running temp on a run in the hot weather was 91ish but went up to 97/8 in crawling traffic and the alarm was set to 97 which was a bit stupid as that is the temp the fans cut in and bring the temp back down ...

Re: Corner marker bulb

What sort of bulb is it..? Is it a T10 cap less type? Cheers for the suggestions, you get what you deserve I think :D . The nail lacquer is not a bad plan, I'll have a rummage through Mrs Philo's drawers (ooer madam...) The bulb is one of those tiny all glass blade type things that just pushes into...
