Have you tried cleaning the switch in the front cabin roof, that controls Up/Down ? The switches get very dirty!
To get it out using the ignition key to depress the tab on the surround
Then open up the switch
clean the contacts.

I think this has been discussed before but basically force fitted. See here for one method https://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum ... 36#p402536

Re: Driving Other Vehicles: Computer Says No
I've noticed that the conditions seem to get stricter and stricter, far from certain its based on actual problems more likely they can increase sales of other policies or they can try to justify removing restrictions by increasing the price. Just at the moment with inflation being so rife all costs ...

Re: Bongo 2.5td non starter after trying a lot!!!!!
Depends on the temperature of the engine, after a cold night the glowplugs need to be able to vaporise the fuel. Once the engine is warm then the glowplugs are turned off by the ECU (not the timing light) hence even when a little warm then the glowplugs won't need to be used, but you won't know abou...

Re: Bongo 2.5td non starter after trying a lot!!!!!
Have you checked that there is power to the glowplug busbar, and also I wonder about the age of the glowplugs themselves ? There is a fusible link for the glowplugs that bolts on the arm of the battery and leads down to the glowplug relay on the offside behind the battery, it looks like a normal pie...

Re: Radio switched supply
That is correct if you left the ACC powered up the then the switching spikes from the starter motor stand a good chance of doing damage to any electronics which are not specifically designed. The very low current backup supply, the ECU all have additional spike protection, most other circuits are al...

Re: Installation-headlight bulbs
Yes it is a standard design, release the plug by squeezing the cross and the catch to remove, pull the rubber boot off then there is a fiddly wire clip that has to be released from a clip and the lamp pops out.

Re: Power Steering
Best to put video on Youtube and then link to it, otherwise files sizes get silly! However there is only so much one can advise when remote to be honest, the recorded sounds lack direction etc that we rely on when listening normally. Assume you have greased the U/J on the steering column, if that ha...

Re: Thinking of first car
Well it was my first vehicle! However it might depend on the age of the kids, as child seats can be a problem to fit these days as very few have the ISO fittings. Also it might depend on your age as if its not converted as a camper then the number of seats puts the insurance costs up a lot!

Re: Radio switched supply
That sounds like the backup supply is not present at all, that supply is fed directly from the battery not via the ignition switch, its the only the main power that is fed via the ignition switch. The two power feeds are at the top right as you can see one is direct to the battery and the other via ...

Re: Radio switched supply
Radios actually have TWO 12v supplies! The first is an un-switched supply and is to retain memories and settings, this is NOT affected by the ignition switch, this circuit feeds several items (door locks internal lights etc) the wire colour in the original Mazda loom is Blue/Red and is on the Mazda ...

It sounds like its an after market roof if it has clips do you know which one or any pictures of it ?
One design has "spikes" that the roof lowers onto then the bonnet like clips engage I believe they are adjustable ?

Have you tried removing and replacing each wheel in turn and checking wheel and bearing, I'm just wondering if there is a loose wheel bolt/nut or a problem. I assume all the wheels are standard no spigot rings or such like for non-standard wheels?
