camping and caravanning club
Is anyone on here a member of the camping and caravanning club (c&cc)? We are thinking about joining, the cost is £41 per year. Being over 55 we would qualify for discounts of about 30% on certain sites at certain times. the two of us could stay on a site for about £14p.n. This compares to £20-£...

Re: RED Squirrel
stayed at red squirrel last week, and was disappointed that electric hook-up was NOT even an option.
site has nice scenery and wildlife, nearest pub is 3/4 mile away. i have to say there is better out there for the same price of about £20 p.n.

Re: Scottish monthly at Pitlochry (vote for day!)only
for the location for pitlochry meet, type: 56.72558, -3.67208 into google earth.
it's on the A924 just outside pitlochry. if warm enough we may stay overnight on a site nearby, perhaps faskally caravan park.

Re: Scottish monthly at Pitlochry (vote for day!)only
my original suggestion was 0.2 miles south-west of pitlochry, a huge lay-by on the A924. We could then go to the car park at the dam, as suggested before, or just walk in to pitlochry.

Re: Scottish monthly meetings
hi, regarding pitlochry, i found a place on the wild camping site 0.2 miles sw of pitlochry on the A924. it will easily take 10-15 bongos, but, apart from a couple of bench seats, there are no facilities. If you are a full member of wildcamping.com take a look. If you are handy with google earth, th...

Re: front interior fan/blower packed up?
hi, when i got my van, the front blower wasn't working. had it checked out by an auto electrician, who said the resistor checked out fine, but the blower/fan needed replaced. to buy the motor from this site is almost £200, although fitting is easy, i can't justify that amount of cash for a vehicle i...
