You carefully break out the old mirror pieces. Then heat up the plastic surround until it expands, you'll find the new glass will drop into place. When the weather was really cold, the Bongo took some starting - often it wouldn't even turn over but it did when putting the autobox in neutral - is this normal?
Bongos will start in both 'neutral' and 'park'. They shouldn't start in any other gear.

There seem to be a lot more people trying to sell now, compared to this time last year. For an idea of price, look at the Bongos for sale here and check out the Autotrader website. They allow you to search nationwide, so you can compare prices throughout the UK, or narrow the search down locally.

Just get a good quality ATF. If it's not leaking, the ATF can deteriorate and should be changed approx every 2 years.

If your chassis number is included in the recall, Mazda UK will arrange for a local Mazda dealer to carry out the work required. (It's all in the factsheet ).can one take the mazda bongo to the mazda garage for replacement of the recall parts???

I've seen bongos towed in that have had this temporary fix, so a 15ml plumbing fitting will do it but will be a bit slack, you'll have to do the jubilees tight or it'll leak under pressure.

slacken the 12ml nut and give the hinged part of the arm a thump to knock the arm off the spline

Allans 'works van' is a 2.5 diesel Bongo; another thing that kills the fuel economy is adding heavy toys...
