First “white stuff” of the season!

Any excuse to venture up into them there hills, the roads from Oldham to Ripponden over Saddleworth moor were pretty risky, in fact at Denshaw the A640 was blocked and traffic was directed by Mountain Rescue. So onwards to Oxenhope Moor, the top of which is at the boundary of Calderdale and ...

Re: Auto Transmission Pipes Replacement

I didn't do this, I watched someone else do it - thanks Ady (Northern Bongolow) From memory the pipes came out from underneath towards the rear, but it was jacked up quite high on the driver's side to make space for wriggling the pipes through. A fair bit of dismantling had to be don...

Re: First big successful trip!

Nice one, whereabouts did you get to, do you have a map of sorts so we can see. And more photos...

We did a tour of the Emerald Isle in 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it, haven't been back since but we probably will at some point. A few photos from us HERE

Re: Slight incident with thule bike rack

I had this issue (removing the locks, not a cow), they do seize if not lubed regularly. Soaking with WD40 should hopefully do it, if not try to at least salvage one of them, you only really need one lock but I used two. If you do end up destroying them you can still buy them new, it's a Thule 567. O...

Re: Shakespeare and Sprouts

Wasn't it tapioca that was frogspawn, semolina is more like readimix concrete :D

I found most school meals ok but boiled cabbage and their sliced beef (from our old friend the elastic cow) you had to fold about 15 times to make it stay on the fork were a particularly bad memory.

Struggling to get it up lately...

Right, that's got your attention, I tried popping the AFT the other day and it went up kind of ok, not fully up which has been the case for several years (just needed a final nudge if we could be bothered but normally not as without it you didn't even need to get into the back to drop the roof) but ...

Re: Recommend Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipe

Ten years and over 170,000 miles later ours is still going strong, still irritating the neighbours when I go to work at 4am

I'm sure a mild steel one would have rotted through again by now.

Re: Exhaust, cheap rubbish :(

Ten years ago I needed a replacement, I was on the verge of buying a full original system then stumbled upon MIJ Exhausts who were offering a full stainless system at around the same price (£228.50). I rang them to enquire postage cost, it was £228.50 delivered or £228.50 fitted and they co...

Isle of South Uist, Outer Hebrides

N674***, seen in Mallaig and then again on South Uist and Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, had a Bongo Fury sticker on the tailgate and some wide wheels (& spacers?), looked good. Looks like you were in convoy with a crew-cab thing with boats on the roof...
