Re: Diamond (Neil Howard)

From the Blackrod Village News page on FaceBook (which is a public group): "The funeral service will be at Overdale Crematorium in Bolton at 13.15 on Friday 19 June. Only 10 mourners will be allowed in the chapel, but they are piping the service to the outdoor waiting area. I am asking for the ...

Re: Anyone know what these are?

It could be a relic from Nippon TV from when it was in Japan. Your radio reception will be hopeless if it's the original Japanese radio, they work on a mostly different waveband so you might only be able to get the shipping forecast. You can fit a band expander to make it work on normal UK frequenci...

Re: Virus News

As a result will there be any spare bog-roll? We've got plenty but Jr, having ridiculed those in Costco the other day now needs some. Badly. This may yet develop into an approrpriate opportunity to discuss socks at the Le Mans 24 hours race in France, and not for wearing on your feet, at least not a...

I think there is a family of otters on your pitch Ady

Wasn't it last year (maybe the year before) that the rally field was flooded only a few days before the bash but drained nicely just in time :?:

Re: Partial oil change

I'm with Mike on this one, Pela all the way. 63 oil changes & 32 filters and counting, still pulling like a train with 400,000+ on the clock.

Re: Been fiddling around with Stevie Wonder

I like it, lots of echo but I like it. In another musical U-turn, last night I went to Bath to see the Mike Westbrook quartet in action, in the 60s he formed Ronnie Scott's house band and at 83 years old (you've got plenty of time yet MIke  ) he's most definitely still got it, a couple of hours...

Re: Farewell Harry Ashcroft

Very sad indeed. We too first met Harry at Silverdale, 2007 it was for us when we were investigating Bongos, had visited a few dealers and wanted to see the 'human' side of the van. We were in a regular car at that point but Harry welcomed us as day-visitors and directed us to various vans with all ...
