Re: Headlight Polishing

I did read on a caravan forum that you need to be ccareful about what type of compound you use to polish up plastic lenses or in that case plastic windows. Some compunds contain a solvent that will cause fine crazing in the plastic itself after a time. On my Smart car the rear side windows are plast...

Re: Bosch 4 wire lambda sensor for 2003 2L petrol

Not Bosch specifically but we used to fit universal types to various vehicles when price was a consideration. As these were normally supplied without a plug you transferred the old plug to the new unit. I am surevGeoff will be able to help with color codes.

Never worked on the V6 but I would suggest looking carefully at the vacuum pipes and intake ducting for splits etc.

Re: Seat covers

Welcome.
I dont know of any tailored for the Bongo. There are some reasonably good after market universal ones on the web.
Else give them a good shampoo if there not to badly worn. Could suprise yourself how they can clean up.
Have a look at the fabric dyes on You tube too.

Re: Bosch 4 wire lambda sensor for 2003 2L petrol

The heater circuit is used to get the O2 sensor to working temp quickly so the engine management system can get into Closed Loop faster and take control of the fueling. However once the exhaust has brought the sensor uo to working temp there will be no difference in fueling providing the sensor side...

Sorry to hear that but at least it did get you there  . I can't be of any help to you in regard to a Bongo Garage although there is a list of friendly garages in the members area. The cylinder head replacement is not a dark science. As you refer to it in the singular I'm guessing you have the...

Re: Bike Rack

Blimey they are pricey them are!
Not much in it between fitting a tow bar with a ball fitting rack or the thing that attaches to the tailgate only thing being you cant tow a caravan with the tailgate rack.
Why have things become so over complicated and expensive?

Re: Diagnose more V6 emissions? (CO,but Lambda seems fine) DON'T DELETE

Great stuff. Additives can do strange things to emmisions so not a fan except for diesel treatments. Temperature plays a big part in emmisions testing so really a temp probe should be used to ensure engine temp is hot enough and engine speed measured but these things a fiddly ( especially when the e...
