Re: Not leaving just yet after all!

Surely the indicators and the wiper switches are on the wrong side on a Renault?

What use is a vehicle like that?

Re: Fuel pump side green seals

Hopefully not a petrol pump, if it's leaking!

I bought diesel seals through our worthy club shop.

Re: Retro fitting elec blinds to a manual blinded bongo ?

It's hardly worth the aggro except for showing off to children. In reality the only one that needs to be up, if there is nobody in the back while traveling, is the one in the sliding door so you can see out at difficult junctions. My offside ones are always down, with insulated foam panels and vario...

Re: Service failed Windscreen Washer Motor with Pics DONT DELETE

It so happens that this was my repair job earmarked for this afternoon. A recent history of intermittent functioning of the front screen pump had, up to now, been fixed by waggling the connector to the pump. working on it is somewhat frustrating as one can't be waggling the connector at the same tim...

... If you have a moment, input your details on the TfL registration checker and see what happens https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/emissions-surcharge/compliance-checker They don't appear to have a 'P*SS OFF' box you can tick, along with the other options such as buy something newer or join a car s...

Re: fuel pump leak

Point taken.

Luckily it it not always evident after a clean up.

My long term solution will be to use the Bongo to replace my current garden chalet which is a VW Type 25.
I'm in the process of being priced out of the motoring market anyway!

Re: fuel pump leak

The cheapest fix is to install a drip catcher. In its most basic form, mine consisted of a polythene funnel wedged under the pump (it doesn't get hot enough to melt) leading to an easily removable storage bottle residing in the under tray. once a week I pour the contents back into the tank. More rec...

Unbelievable driving conditions

Yesterday evening we had torrential rain in the South East. I had little choice but to use a stretch of the A2 between Gravesend and Bexley around 8.30 pm by when it was well dark due to the cloud cover. The road was deluged with rain and spray but the authorities has not seen fit to put any speed l...

Re: What year did petrol Bongos become Euro 4 compliant?

Hopefully, by 2020 we shouldn't be worried about 'euro' anything and could even look forward to the wide choice of desirable Japanese vans which are available to our Commonwealth cousins who are not subservient to Brussels bureaucracy. However all these draconian measures appear to be rushed through...

i have used Strikealite in Rugely in the past. i even had a battery pack refurbished while I watched at their premises. they have the equipment to spot weld the cells together and also source ready joined up sets of cells. Re: Removing seats

It certainly does for me via Adrian Flux. 8 seaters have enjoyed a certain popularity with bogus whiplash merchants. This has resulted in all of us being penalised. Another advantage, as far as I'm concerned, is being able to turn down requests for family transport from people whose kids I don't wan...

Well, I learned something new when I saw his picture in the paper on Sunday. Never having been much of a television or popular culture person, I never actually saw him and for no particular reason assumed he was white. I just visualised him along with Elvis, Buddy Holly etc.(although I did know what...

Re: Another newbie..

My smaller car is a Suzuki Ignis and being a Japanese built one, not Hungarian, it has the column controls the same (correct for right hand drive) as the Bongo so no inadvertent window cleaning when turning. I use the Bongo and the car roughly 50/50 as the mood takes me. Not having bought fuel by th...
