Re: A Bongo Adventure to Greece
Hi Cat I like the idea of The Auvergne...we put a deposit on a house there...GORGEOUS...and much to the anger of the estate agent, the vendor wouldn't extend the waiting period by 2 days, as we were waiting on paperwork at the French end...and you must know what that's like....and the lawyer and th...

Re: A Bongo Adventure to Greece
Hi Cat We'll wait and see what others say... Sounds nice, a lazy drive back through France.....We'd like a nice little cottage with a good-size garden in France...It's a bit primitive over here, and no care for the elderly.... Cheers Helen Always spent my holidays in France when I was a kid and spe...

Hi A few folkses seem interested, here, so how about everyone putting some dates in the ring, and I'll edit the list as they come in, and see where there's any flexibility??? If you have a preference for route, please speak out, as I think most people want a convoy....It sounds very nice and friend...

Re: Extended bed
I have used my Rock and roll bed several times but i am really awkward when it comes to sleeping and my feet hang over the edge of the bed a bit. So i was wondering if anyone knows a way i could extend the bed without doing any cosmetic permanent changes to my bongo i have seen some that have a sto...

Re: A Bongo Adventure to Greece
Looking at the AA Route Planner, it shows 2803Km and 25h44m travelling time from Calais, so you're going to need 5 stops each way, if you're only doing 450Km per day and about 5 hours driving  I like the look of this trip, but it looks like it will cost me about £700 in diesel alone, so, wit...

Hi Well, truth to tell, not yet in bed, and I would highly commend a trip with some good stopovers after , say, 450 Kilometers a day, but we came here overloaded...now that's a story, and had immeasurable problems on the way , and we encountered weather problems including stopping at a friend's in ...

I'm still part-time teaching (just), so couldn't go before June.. Derek Me too, teach until July 3rd so couldn't go before that. I'd probably do the route 1: England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece to get there and consider a different route back Sounds good to me too, same route appeals. A lit...

Re: A Bongo Adventure to Greece
Hi Cat... From first glance, it looks like Larissa , which is around 70 miles, by my calculations...not too bad, eh? You could drive half way and meet up...then it's a doddle, and a chance to stock up on grub.....or theycould grab a cab....the campsite is off the main coast road. Cheers Helen Thank...

Re: A Bongo Adventure to Greece
Helen,
Do you know where the nearest airport is to the final destination campsite? My daughter might fly out and meet me as well as Umbongochris if we do it and dates fit in

No matter.....we will be going plymouth to roscoff on the 21st July then over to carnac for a few days before hugging the coast as far as royan. After their retrace our steps back up. If you were ...
