Bike rack

Post by Jimmy spur » Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:24 pm

Hello hello,
I have posted before about bike tracks and I still have not successfully got one at a decent price. Obviously the thule 973 and the fiamma one are the go to bike tacks but I simply don't have the funds for them and I don't want to cut the spoiler to fit the fiamma one!.
There must be other makes that fit?

Do you have a tow bar. If so something like a "buzz rack" can double as a load carrier or bike carrier.

I just bought a Thule 973 for £140 which I thought was a reasonably good price. In the box of bits n bobs was the previous owners original invoice......£150. No wonder he was smiling when i handed over my money. Unfortunately it came with a 15 fitting kit, so I've had to buy the 18 kit for the Bongo....but as the original 15 box was included I'll just resell that for £20. As I have a rear conversion, I'm going to use the rack with a storage box on it,so I can fit in the awning, fold up chairs and other assorted camping stuff if we need to take it with us.

I have a Thule 973-18 Backpac 2. It is a solid bike rack.
