Right well I'm back on the road tonight!
Replacement engine in and all working, might just need a tweak of the TPS but I'll run it for the weekend and see what gives, new engine is slightly quieter than the old one as well. Must check the levels first thing tomorrow make sure no leaks, they replaced a few more hoses for good measure as well as cam belt, tensioner and seals. Think I might have to get the aircon refrigerant topped up as it wasn't as cool as I recall it in the past, probably didn't notice it during the Winter!

So it looks like I should be at Stourport in Minnie one last time and then the new import will appear with any luck!

and now the Minnie2 has arrived ;-)

Coming along nicely. Solar panel fitted and cables inside, Dave Westgarth's awning brackets fitted, awning attached.
Now it's raining so tidy up hardware, then a coffee and then start on extra internal wiring.

Really Nice Geoff.

I am really interested in knowing more about the awning brackets.
they look much better that the VW type that I am using at the moment
Are these easily available and will they work with a F35 as well as the F45 you have

Thanks.

Hi Geoff
Nice one..Could you be tempted to use both?...one for every day, and the other for holidays?
Cheers,
Helen

Dave Westgarth is on FaceBook, not sure what or if he has an ID on here ?
I think he has only done them for the F45 at present as he has one himself! But I would have thought a similar design could be made if you ask him.
Nice thing is no drilling the van itself, it uses the existing awning fixings only and doesn't block the drainage channel either. Very sold feel compared to the type that clamp to the gutter.

Dave is a regular at Eastnor, not certain if they're going this year, but possibly meet up there?

Wow you forget how many little mod's and changes you do over the years to these vehicles, every time I move something from one van to the other you realise that there is something else to be done, added, moved or because of the change of storage, places have to be found for things that have just become natural homes for things!
