What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

That is quite a record. No chance of my beating it as I have converted my fuel filter type to those that just cost £2.00 or thereabouts. I found the cartridge ones were a touch expensive. One off cost of £28, and the savings on using oil instead of diesel stay with me!

I can change the two cartridges in under 20 minutes though. I have found the "nappy sacks" placcy bags the ideal size for wrapping round the filters so as to avoid unnecessary spills.

Hi Chipvan,

I got mine from Thorneycroft engines. Do a search on Ebay for = Twin Double Fuel Filter Lucas CAV - Diesel , Bio WVO

not much good at posting links - sorry.

Also got an electric fuel pump from Amazon. Do a search there for = Universal Electric Fuel Pump 12V 7psi It makes sure the fuel gets to where it is needed even when a bit thick on a cold morning!

I am just getting round to having a second fuel tank fitted for diesel so the main tank can be for the used cooking oil. The fuel filter has two inlets One of these will be used for the oil and the other for diesel once fully set up.
Hope this assists.
