Fuel separation?

Fuel separation?
My bongo sits around unused most of the week. Is the veg oil likely to separate from the diesel in 6 days and would it cause a starting issue? I am using about 12 to 15% veg at the moment.

Re: Fuel separation?
I can only relay my experience - I had 50/50 in the tank, left it for a week. 4 degC in the morning after a frost and it started on the first turn of the engine.
I reckon you'll be fine.

Yes it does, but not that quickly..and at that ratio wont be a problem anyway..
10% veg can actually help combustion, mine always runs better on the stuff,

Does it separate oil on diesel or diesel on oil?

Pour some of each in a jam jar and leave it on the kitchen window sill.Driver+Passengers wrote:Does it separate oil on diesel or diesel on oil?
I'm waiting for someone else to do this experiment because I know I won't get around to it!

veg goes to the bottom, and too so will the water and crud if your using old oil
Re: Fuel separation?
Thanks for the advice all. Will carry on and maybe go up to 25% until the spring. It is new oil I am using.
