what % of veg to diesel are you guys on at moment?

What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

I keep it in the garage, or under the van when parked up. So if it pours okay from the bottle...?

I keep mine in the shed, either I have the 3 litre bottles of 20 litre drums, if I remember, lol I bring it indoors the day before I add it to warm it up, it flows better and not so much gets left in the container but..I don't often remember so when I do add it, I have the engine running on the drive, lol sometimes it is quite thick, so off to the pump and add diesel straight away, then away it goes. One thing to remember, tho, there is always a fair bit gets left behind, either in the bottle or can, I tend to stand the "empty" containers upside down for a while and you would be surprised at how much stuff drains to the neck, a lot of oil can be wasted if you dont.

Having suffered a couple of "Waxing " incidents. I would suggest that veg oil is put in prior to diesel.
In both situations I had not done a run after adding the veg oil.
I would therefore assume that the oil is heavier than diesel and sits at the bottom of the tank.
Not the end of the world to whip the fuel filter off and put some diesel in it.
I carry a spare fuel filter just in case.
Anyone out there got a spare fuel filter housing , I would like to purchase one. It would make the replacement so much easier.

Already had a fuel pump from Simon....I will ask him...although I know he has a WLT engine.

Just to pick up on the "which goes first" lol, I have always added oil first then topped up with diesel, the action of the pump forcing the fuel into the tank ensures a good, fast and even mixture, also the drive back home helps give it a good mixing too. If you add oil to the diesel, as was rightly said, it is heavier and will act like milk on a latte, lol, the oil will sink below the diesel.

Plus 1 for oil in first then diesel to mix it together. Anybody brave enough to add the oil while on the forecourt?

You will prob be shouted at by irate drivers waiting if you do that, what I do is..find a nice quiet part of the car park..if it's a supermarket..then add it there nice and out of the way, then just nip into petrol station and top up, if you remember to put "empty" pots upside down then by the time you get home there will be a bit more oil to add that has drained into neck, if you dont want to bother and are in Tesco then just recycle the containers there.
