Lumpy idle when cold

What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

yes, frostbitten toes if you're not careful. I'm not sure that I understand the question though, this is the number one solenoid, its number two (if I understand it correctly) that kicks in for the AC.
