Fuel Pump Seals?

What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

Fuel Pump Seals?

Post by Idris » Sun Jan 18, 2015 7:31 pm

Any recomendations on where to buy fuel pump seals, specificaly the rear (dristributor) seal and the frent (nose) seal. I've already replaced the 2 o rings (side seals) that had the consistency of bakerlite!
My pump leaks air and struggles to pull fuel from the tank - I've put a non return valve in the feed line that has improved things but it still ain't right.

to do the front you need the pump off, while your off i was advised by lawsons to do the rear seal while the pump is outlets facing upwards.
if you open the outlet side up too much you will be greeted by approx 50 pieces of pump internals that a gynecologist would struggle to put back together.

the easier but more expensive option maybe an exchange or recon pump from here, ive seen them on the shelf and look a good job.
