21st - 22nd April, Meet Red Squirrel Campsite.

Post by Bongopoet » Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:23 pm

Due to popular demand (in fact I have been ORDERED)

I will try to organise a meet in late April next year at the Red Squirrel campsite, Glencoe.
If people are interested let me have an idea of numbers and I will sound out the campsite to see if they are happy to fence off an area for us.

For those who don't know it the campsite is very basic but it is in a lovely area

Shouldn't be midges, official midge-season is 5/5 to 10/10

Basic is no bar on site, but the legendary Clachaig is in staggering distance. Toilet and shower block is a portacabin. Midges should not be around but Smidge works wonders!
There is no Bingo =D> and we are allowed to burn wood in the fire pits on site, but not to cut down trees!

Keep me away from the bottle(s) - I'm still craving questionable meat products 5 days on!!! (Hangovers make me eat).

We will be there.

It wasn't until I saw the empty bottles in the morning that I realised just how much of the amber nectar had been consumed. Either that or the Faeries had been and stolen it during the night.

Remember folks.... there is no electric hook up, so how many folk can we get into Dave-abers van with the Eberspach heating running at 25 degrees? Rhumour has it that an enterprising band of rebel midges are busy knitting winter coats as I type this message

The empty bottles were nothing to do with me. I only had one tin of beer on Saturday night.
