Hi

We're not going to make this one either, partly due to the weather and partly due to the fact that we're having other car problems and in the middle of a big fight with a large national car dealer. Found out today at kwik fit that. I've been driving new car since sep with a lose brake caliper bolt. Dealer have car currently and are denying anything was wrong.

The gloves are off.

Have a great meet, hope to cu at the next one.

Perhaps I could drop T off with you and pick him up on the way back...?! ;) [-o< [-o<

And that would do wonders for my studying

We should be there around 5pm give or take an hour. If you wanna hang out with the bushcraft folk then look for a green tipi with a log burner and that's where I'll be heading :)

Nice "before the rain" picture - all the puddles had joined together by the end!! ;)

They may have foraged cockles in the rain, but I think we just about out-bushcrafted the bushcrafters who seemed to either be snugged up in their wood-fired tipis or up at the Clachaig, while we were out hunkered round the campfire toasting marshmallows and cider-poaching sausages in an empty Guinness can! :D

Although to be fair, there was one guy bivvying under a tarp!

[Edit - I had to turn back on the way home because I managed to pick a route that turned out to be blocked by snow! When a Landrover waves you down to tell you that you won't even get close, you'd better listen! I had to see for myself, though, didn't I!?! ;)]

No pictures myself - Mike has a couple from the round the campfire.

The A83 was indeed closed again. I got turned around between Kenmore and Loch Freuchie, way up the hillside above Loch Tay.

All great fun. I have a couple of photos but not downloaded them yet. The road was a little exciting on the way home .. axle deep flooding near the Suie Hotel and the start of what I suspect would turn into a landslide on the steep bit between Crainlarich and Lochearnhead. Callander really badly flooded .. will post photos later.

We had an interesting drive home too!
Turned down Glen Orchy on the way home as the river can be quite impressive in spate
Unfortunately it had spated all over the road
Stopped to take a photo on the way back up

There was plenty landslide/avalanche debris up in the hills we noticed on the journey home
can see a few on Buachaille Etive Mor in this pic

Glad we all made it home safely even after a few diversions

One last look back down Glen Coe

Mental river photo! I thought the bridge at Killin was going to be swept away! (I'm sure it's stood up to worse over the years!).

Any photos to share, Mike/Scott?
