Hi Every one,

It's been a long while since I've posted anything on here. I don't know if any of you noticed, but we put Olive up for sale last week and it's bittersweet as she went about an hour ago.

Sam and I have been so immersed in getting used to 'civvy' life and raising the girls our feet just haven't stopped!

Long story short there wasn't owt wrong with Olive, except the family is growning and we felt we needed something bigger, so we advertised her and away she has gone.

Olive has been sold to a lovely retired couple who drove all the way up from Kettering to view her. Typically one look and she won them straight over ;0)
So, with some regret and happiness that she'll be loved I waved her off.

Unfortunately we can't make it up this weekend. Brian if you drop me a pm or phone call I'll pass on the gossip as to why we've had to let Olive go............calm down, we aren't having another nipper with Sam expecting..........just couldn't face nappies & prams again.

I am staying on the forum as I've some mega memories of just how welcoming and friendly you all have been to my family and once we have sorted our selves out, may tip up for the autumn bash......

Anyhow, bongoed out but not bongoed in I suppose.

have a great weekend and hopefully see some of you soon.

Kind Regards,

Oz, Sam, Millie, Connie and Digdog xxx

In the absence of balmy mild weather (or anyway!) we don't want to risk exacerbating things by camping so we're going to have to miss this one. Hopefully Jo might do another later in the year :P and we'll be in better health, as we loved the meet last year and would like to do a repeat.

Have a great time y'all

Mike and Trish
Ya wuz,
Ive got no knees,one hip,flu,the sh1ts,two verrucas,a dog that wont obey me,and I`m bald.......but I`m still going !!!!

See ya next time and get well soon

Cheers Brian ha ha. Its actually more complicated than that. We both have busy full time jobs and houses to run, we're not young, and Trish has co-habiting dependants. So it doesn't take much for us to think 'this is not relaxing', and whilst I'm starting to get over my cold, Trish is just getting hers. But I take your point, and we will miss the company as that was never the reason for not coming. Sorry to miss Pete also as its been a long time.

Thanks for the good wishes Jo. Have a great time y'all.

well if rained all saturday, and I had to lower the roof, because of the wind on sunday morning really early.

Sods law, got to my grandparents and cooked me some late breakie at 1pm, and GLORIOUS BLOODY sunshine.

Dried me bongo out and couple of hours later, left for home.

Any reason my bongo can cook better than my house?

Had perfect eggs with runny yoke on golden fat cooked bacon.

Nice meeting everyone.

Well,it certainly washed us out and blew us away !

Good to see the regulars and nice to see Zippy again and PeglegS gang and Dave and Rachel (got it right this time), after such a long time. And Tommy (not Tommo) is a little cracker.
Heavy rain never let up at all. That and strong winds sadly put a damper on it.Too wet and cold to stand chatting (Mike, you and trish got it right and have the last laugh  )
Only Karena was brave enough to carry on flying the flag (with a little persuasion from the little man)
Too wet to play outside with the camera, but took a couple Friday evening, will post tomorrow.

Big thanks to Jo and Chris for organising again.Chris, hope you enjoyed that big meal you were peeling for you and Jo :)

Thanks to Jo and Chris for putting on this meet, unfortunately you can't order the weather. When it rains in Allithwaite it rains, but it only put a small downer on things. It's always great to see old friends and nice to meet new one's, we thought we'd got a squatter in our caravan, only joking Zippy. Most of us had a walk down to the Pheasant, as the Yakkers has closed down. We had a lovely meal, not cheap, but worth it.

On a different note, myself and Debs were sorry to hear that Oz, Sam and girls have sold Olive, we will really miss you, and hope that we meet again in a field somewhere. Take care guys. :)

Fear not, I ordered a oil heater :)

But I'll bring a spare wash bag for your caravan next time just in case

Steam fair should be better weather, look forward to it.

Sorry we couldn't make it but something cropped up at the last moment which meant we had to stay at home.
Hope everyone had a reasonable time despite the weather and hope to be there next time.
