Allithwaite Easter Meet 13th - 17th April 2017

Post by PixieAndTheMoon » Wed Feb 15, 2017 11:47 am

Hello Friends,

Just to see if anyone is interested in Easter Meet at Allithwaite Playing Field.

Thursday 13th - Monday 17th April 2017

Image

Here at Allithwaite LA11 7QJ we have a large field at our disposal.

We have 8 hook ups available on a first come first served basis. Hook ups just £12 a night, non Hook ups £10 a night. All funds go to a registered charity (No 508931)
There are Men and Ladies Toilets, basic showers and kitchen facilities for washing up and an outdoor tap for topping up. The field also has a pump/cycle track. There is also the ever popular charity shop on the corner and nearby post office/shop. :D

Oh so tempted though Trish is not up for Bongo camping these days. Might just be a day visit. I will though be retired by then. Hmmmm i wonder if weekday ones for retireds could work. I'd be there then if only solo :-)

Well there's a thought for a future occasion. No weekend traffic and visitors to contend with. Might even work on short notice based on a promising weather forecast. I'd love to do some walking in the Lakes also and what a perfect base camp that could be. But, it'd all turn on yours and the willingness of the Allithwaite community to countenance it.

Hi Jo & Chris....yes please with ehu for me and Dee.

When I got your first text I was not really looking forward to camping in BURY... ...then your next was better as I much prefer Alithwaite..... =D>

We will be bringing a gang of reprobates...AKA my kids but they will not need hook-up so you can site them as far away from us normal people as you wish....
They are a good bunch really and will need about four pitches if that's OK.

We have been looking forward to this for months and can't wait to get together again... =D>

Love...Alan & Dee

I would love to be there but it is going to depend on how well June is feeling. She is in a lot of pain and will not travel. Today the hospital gave her a Tens back pain machine to try out for three weeks, if it works I will be able to leave her on her own for a few days.

So if I make it then it will be me and I will be going down on my knees to beg someone to split their hookup with me.
