Recommend Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipe

Post by HappyHooligan » Fri Nov 05, 2010 10:37 pm

Hi,
I'm needing a new stainless steel exhaust pipe. I have a year 2000, 2.5 ltr petrol Bongo. Can anyone suggest a good place to get hold of one and roughly what price I'm looking at?
Thanks

PM YBB (you've been bongod) He has the nicest sounding exhaust i've heard on a V6 yet! His was custom made recently for a surprizingly low price!

It always helps if you put your location up so that we advise on some-one local to you.

Anyway here is a link to the company based in Walsall that put an awesome system on my V6. They will supply and fit (did mine on a Sunday) or they have jig made off the shelf units which can be posted out to you. For quality product and service I have no hesitation in recommending these people =D>

Up to 10% improvement in BHP, improved performance, and the sound coming out of the twin tail pipes certainly turns heads

MIJ - That's who we went to for our 2.5TD. Super job, reverberates off buildings nicely now

Yeah, sorry guys, I'm all the way down in Eastbourne.
Thanks for the private messages. I took a peek at the MIJ site, looks good but a little far for me to travel. I found this place in Hastings which is the same franchise as You've Been Bongod used, so gonna give them a bell Monday to see what the deal is there with Bongos.
Thanks again guys this site is a saviour!

it takes about 3 hours to have a exhaust made up as they make from scratch and you can choose from a wide range of tailpipes

ps i kept my old exhaust for a spare or if i ever sell my bongo

A bit late with the posting, #-o
I had a stainless exhaust fitted last week by Midlands Exhausts.I must say a first class job for a good price, the choice can be a bit confusing to say the least  how loud/ single or twin pipes, straight or bent pipes/how far sticking out ect.The lads there will do anything you want and put the parts up to check if you like the style ect.
I went with standard noise, bent single pipe.Very pleased and only £60 more than a standard exhaust and with a lifetime waranty..No brainer :D :D

It's a pity the pictures don't give an indication of the lovely burble the exhaust now makes Carl =P~

Ten years and over 170,000 miles later ours is still going strong, still irritating the neighbours when I go to work at 4am

I'm sure a mild steel one would have rotted through again by now.
