hi guys,
im going on holiday in a couple of days, and ive notived on of my aux drive belts has a split on it,
i will obviously replace all 3 belts as im sure they are old and could do with replacing however i dont think i will get chance before i go.
iam going to buy them from the shop and take them with me,

what i wanted to know is its the middle belt thats damaged so if it were to fail would beilt inside nearest the engine drive carry on driving the same engine components?

It will, but it will probably be the same age & is just as likely to go, plus if the iffy one goes at full tilt, it can make a hell of a mess under there. Get it done, don't risk it, it drives the water pump & alternator, only takes half an hour to do.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
