Speedo converter chip - is switching KPH / MPH possible ??

Post by ally_bongo » Tue Jul 04, 2006 12:19 am

Hi all,

I've seen two other Bongos in the space of a week in Pontefract :D
If I fit the electronic speed converter, does anyone know if it's possible to fit a switch somewhere, so that when I'm abroad I can simply switch back to KPH ??

hi Ally,
I think one major problem of switching the chip 'on' and 'off' would be that your odometer would be reading in 'Miles' and then 'Kilometers'. Heaven knows what the speedo would be telling you, not having both mph and kph like most other vehicles !
Confusing to say the least if not a tad illegal ???

Hmm - after I posted the question, I thought to myself 'what about the odometer..???'
I think I'll stick to either one or t'other !
