leakin sound

hi,
i am getting a periodically gas leakin sound from the bongo. cant figure it out. any1 got any ideas. have switched the radio and air venting off and sound still happens then stops. headin away for a few days and just wanna check it anit anything serious

coming from the right front wheel. i think it might need new pads. any1 had this b4 and am i correct that they need replaced? if so do i replace all 4 pads @ once.

You most certainly DO replace all pads in a complete set.

A gas leaking sound? From the front wheel? Do you have air brakes? :wink:

What action are you performing when this noise occurs? Braking, cornering, accelerating, over-run?

It could be one of a number of things such as a dry bushing, stone in the tyre tread, something caught between the disc and the brake backplate.... If pads were low on tread you would get a squealing sound. Metal on metal from the wear indicator. This sounds more like a rubber scraping sound and could be one of the above or even a 'dry' shocker. Jack it up, take the wheel off and have a good look around at the brakes, disc, shocker and bushes for anything that looks amiss.
