Post by caznsue » Wed Jul 19, 2006 7:54 pm

helloo all,

after reading all the past comments on the good old wobbly steering wheel problems i took mine to the garage today and he balanced the best he could but still got the wobble at about 60 mph,......he advised me to find a garage that can balance the wheels whilst they are on the bongo...........does anyone know of anywhere in oxfordshire that can do this...................please help!!!!

Could be uneven or distorted tread wear on your front tyres - seems to be a bit of a problem with these bongos. Balancing might not do it - but a good tyre fitter / specialist will be able to tell you - no-one seems to know what causes it though.

could it be suspension or steering rods...............4 garages has taken a look now and none of them have pointed out wear on tyres.............

found a garage that will take the whole lot off and rebalance, check all over, put back and if it dont work will not charge me a penny.......... dont think you can say fairer than that...........will take my baby next week and see how i get on ........will let you all know.
