Central Locking

A slight problem arose yesterday.

The cental locking works fine when you press the plastic key
fob to unlock all the doors but takes 6 or 7 presses to lock them
Before this it worked first time and from 10 yds or so.

Using the key in the drivers door opens and locks all the
doors as it is supposed to.

The cental locking fob came with the Bongo some 3 years ago
could it be the tiny battery inside or something else ?

Thanks in anticipation

Shane, I'd say it was the battery. This happened to me a couple of year's ago. The batteries last about 3 to 4 years.

Try pressing the fob up under your chin onto your jawbone as you press the button. Don't laugh until you've tried it!!!

Can the battery we sourced easily and is there a time limit to
change over the battery - I've read that somewhere.

Thanks again - what a great site.

Any good electrical shop will stock the batteries.
