just disconnect that pipe and fit the pipe for the Cruise Control. No need for a "T" piece then and less chance of leaks.
that's good. Nothing else to do with cold start unit?

Not that I know of - but mine didn't have a coldstart unit fitted, the stub the tube connects to was just covered with a rubber cap.

Went at it with renewed vigour this evening. Got the cold start pipe off the built in "T" in a few minutes and blocked the cold start vacuum feed at the unit itself. Connecting Cruise Control vaccum feed was then so so easy. Sailed through pre-flight tests and inaugural run. Need to sort out mounting the controller to give passenger a rest from holding it

Thanks everybody for your help and excellent advice (as always).

Glad you've got it sorted. Definitely one of the best Bongo mods to make driving even easier.

This was where I initially mounted the switches:

This is the current arrangement using a modified stalk from a different Waeco model:

This is a future modification:

I'm going for the same position as you initially, except on the right. I like the stalk control but it checked out at nearly as much as I paid for the MS-50 kit. Laters maybe. The Mazda 6 steering wheel, if it is, brings back happy memories of my return to private car ownership!

I wonder if this thread can be renamed "first & last thoughts"!!

Do you have a side view of the stalk position I think I may have popped mine too far away, it's quite close to the dash.. May be time to move it

Thanks Simon, I'm going to move mine, it's just a little too far away.

Thanks also for the .pdf instructions, made the whole job far quicker. =D>

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a cruise control system compatible with the Bongo? The MS 50 and AP 60 seem to be available only from Germany/Australia for up to £500!

Apollo Motorhomes have the MS 50 for £149 but every time I try and buy it the website comes up with an error:
https://www.apollomotorhomes.com/?mcmsA ... eed%20MS50

Any help much appreciated!

Just a brief update on this: Apollo Motorhomes have been affected by flooding, which explains the website issues. Unfortunately they don't have any remaining stock of the cruise control kits but are looking to get hold of something similar from China.

Went ahead and ordered the AP60 from Australia via eBay. Going to install it this week - does anyone have a copy of Simon's installation guide? I can't find it anywhere on the members area.

Many thanks!

Simon was going to write it in 2008, I'm not sure he did. :) But if you look at his posts on this search, you'll see he mentions several things that will help you. search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keyw ... hor_id=936
