Lower wishbone bushes... replacement?.

Post by langtoftnick » Sun Jul 28, 2019 5:05 pm

I’ve just had a shufty under the bongo and one of the lower from wishbone front bushes is missing the rubber stop at the back so I can see the pivot. Not good.

Question is can they be replaced without the use of special tools. I have the normal stuff, and the use of a ramp lift, but tbh I hate spannering. Looks like a nut, a bolt, slide the bolt out, pop in the new bush and push the bolt back in an tighten... but I suspect it might be more involved than that. I also suspect it’d be better to replace front and back which makes it worse!

Anyone recommend someone near peterborough who can do it for me without taking my first born in payment?

Thanks

Nick
