Leaking rear diff
Hi all,my rear diff is leaking, 2.5 diesel 4x4.Can't seem to find anyone that does a replacement seal.tried all the usual suspects. Am i right in thinking that I am going to have to change the complete rear axle to remedy this,or can anyone shed any light on a solution to this. I've changed oil checked the breather on top.

I can't think you need a replacement axle assembly because of a leaking seal.
Is it where the drive enters, either side where the half shafts exit, or the rear of the casing?
This is just one, but should link to other seals:

I bought the two pairs of axle seals from BongoSpares and had my garage fit them. I would imagine they also do the other seal as well, standard seals.

Re: Leaking rear diff
Where is it leaking? In center where diff bolts to axle or out of half shafts near brakes? If it’s the former, draining the oil, splitting from axle and applying some gasket sealant will sort that out. If it’s the latter will probably need new seals as they are delicate and easily damaged from what I remember

Hi,I dont understand why you changed the oil when you have an oil leak..?
Is the leak coming from the pinion seal or the diff case gasket ?
Re: Leaking rear diff
It's leaking from where the prop enters the diff case in the centre, local garage said it can't find part anywhere, tried several bongo garages to no avail

You should be able to get the pinion seals from Mazda Part No R00127165
