Central locking Stock

Post by phester » Tue May 12, 2020 8:16 am

I am trying to help my dad with his old E2200 ( same as the bongo) it has the 67 830 relay with the 7 pins.

I have looked in the door at the 3 wire switch and broken the connection in the door. Middle to one of the terminals is making / breaking with the door catch but the other way should (IMO) switch the other middle to remaining connection. I get letters c-h shorting when the door is closed.

All this aside the locking is dead so from what I gather at least one direction should be causing the doors to open or close.

I have found the relay and measured all the components inside, pnp transistor, diodes and relays all function. The letters inside the relay i have mapped below to the colour but they dont seem to match up with the circuit schematic letters provided by Geoff (my g) is not populated

But the wiring loom has me stumped. The colour codes dont match any of the manuals I have found.

I have
White/ Green which has 12V a
Black (seems to be GND) b
Grey/Red c
White/Black d
Red e
Red f
Green /Yellow h

Can anyone confim that the door switch should throw 12v between the two remaining wires for the door catch up/down. All fuses in the drivers fuse box are good and the only other fuse box is the engine bay which has only large fuses.

Is there only one power feed through the relay to the door.

Any help would be appreiated before I try to pull the door wiring loom apart.

The E2200 may be the same as the "Bongo" but it is not the same as the Bongo Friendee or Ford Freda which is what this forum is all about. Having said that, there may be someone on here that could help with the electrical issue. But you might be better off finding a specialist Facebook group to answer your query.

The modules you refer to always seem to be specific to a vehicle as the designs are made several years apart, whilst they may use similar components inside the rate of change of parts and design approaches varies a lot between models. Your best bet if you have idientified the module as faulty would be to look for a replacement Google is always the starting point these days
