REVING WHEN CHANGING FROM 2ND TO 3RD

Hi all hopefully someone on here will know the answer to this. i have a 2001 2l petrol, recently i have noticed that when the autobox is changing from 2nd to 3rd gear the revs seen to go up to about 3000-3500 for a couple of seconds then settles back down fine, it does not seem to do this in and other gear change. I have already dropped the sump and replaced the gearbox oil although the old oil was not in bad condition at all. has anybody had the same same issue as me. any help would be well recived. Brad
