V6 petrol cap breather vent location

Post by Simmy » Sun Jul 26, 2020 8:36 pm

Hi all, I'm having problems locating the fuel cap breather vent. I have been told there is a hole but I cant see one. I'm getting a huge whoosh of air when I release the cap. I looked on the diagram on lush projects and I need more of an idiots guide!
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Geoff. Do I just remove the parts shown and give them a good clean?

Geoff's previously posted a picture of a dismantled cap. It should help you. Here's the link:

Allan's closed. We recommend PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services in Plymouth.

Thanks that's great. As soon as the rain stops I'll take a look and give it a good clean

Yes the parts just pop out, the ventilation hole itself is in the centre of the cap from the top.
