where is throttle position sensor

Post by rocketeeer » Sat Aug 15, 2020 6:54 pm

I've a newshape 53 plate diesel bongo.

I'm trying to locate the throttle position sensor, but it seems to be in a different place to the older models. Attached is a piccy of my driver's side engine bay, can someone spot the TPS sensor for me?
Confused!

Just guessing, is it on the throttle peddle, not had owt to do really with the new ones. Lol.
Or that little box on the pump pictured may be a modern equivalent.

Thanks,
There is something on the throttle pedal - looks like a syringe. I thought it was just a kick-down switch but now you've got me thinking!

Found it above the pedal: the 'syringe' thingy is just a switch - presumably to check you don't have your foot on the gas when you start the engine.
It looks similar to the old-shape throttle

sensor, just re-located.
Does anyone have an electrical description for it? Which sensor is it in the wiring diagrams, is it 'X20?'
