Roof up dash light

Post by steve9617 » Sun Oct 11, 2020 6:40 pm

Hi all.

I am a new bongo owner looking for a little advice.

My roof up dash light continues to flash even with the roof fully closed.

Also when opening the roof the beeping continues even when fully open (although I'm not sure the roof is fully open).

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi. :)

Not sure about when it's closed, but it is common that you need to gently assist the roof when going up.

Just a light push in the middle for the last inch or so.

There are two limit switches for the down position, one on each side, they both have to be operated to stop the light and bleeper.
Most common problem is the sliders not operating both of the microswitches at the front see these images for further info http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/aft/index.php?ind=0

Thanks both for the excellent advice.

Hopefully I'll put it to good use soon
