Hi all
Asking for some advice on central locking not working properly.
It wasn't working at all so opened up door loom on drivers side and low and behold found a broken wire.
Fixed the wire and for a while solved the problem and was working perfectly.
Now it still works but only opens closes the drivers door and none of the others.
Thought it may be same issue on passenger door loom so just opened it up, but no broken wire evident.
Fiddled a bit with the connections etc and started working again.
But after driving has stopped working again and only drivers door opens and closes. On occasion all open but won't lock again.
Any ideas what may be causing this before I start stripping wires to see if its broken inside.
Cheers
Central locking issue

Re: Central locking issue
When one wire breaks in the drivers door loom then its usually the case that others will break as you fiddle around or shortly after! Hence why its best to cut out the entire damaged section of loom and repair or replace the entire loom.

Thanks Geoff
Sounds like it is the same broken wire on passenger side loom. Haven't noticed anything else not working but suspect like you say if ones gone others are not far behind...

It's not so common for the passenger's side to fail, although it can.

Re: Central locking issue
Ok so update on the problem...
Opened up the drivers side loom again to check colour if wire I fixed before.
Found that my previous fix was a bit rubbish and had broken again. Cut wire out and resoldered in another section and hey presto all working perfectly again!..
So the broken wire must have been the return from drivers side not incoming..
Safe locked van again...

Re: Central locking issue
Speaking of central locking, the other month whilst I was asleep, mine started going mental on me. Mine started to lock and unlock for around 20 mins until it finally woke me up and I had to disconnect the battery
All is good these days. Would anyone know where I can buy the pop clips for the sliding door inlay card. I know ebay or Amazon but what would I type in the search bar.
Cheers guys.

There are several different types of clip used on the sliding door lining;
