access panel

Post by Cloughy » Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:18 pm

Hello,

Does anybody have a picture or measueremnts to indicate where the access panel is located on the rear floor of the Bongo. I don't mean the one on the back of the centre console. I think there is one on the floor behind the driver seat somewhere.
I will need to either cut a hole in my conversion floor or remove it, so trying to weight up the options.

I have a problem with the full pump and sender and don't want to drop the tank. I have a V6 Bongo.

Any help greatly appreciated.

cheers,
Matt

There is a removable panel to access the fuel gauge sender.

Sadly some converters don't bother cutting a trap into the floor, but without removing the seats and carpet it's difficult to say exactly where.

With luck someone will have a photo. [-o<

Here you go. The Bongo’s fuel tank panel (hatch), which allows access to the fuel gauge sender, is located under the carpet on the driver’s side, midway between the middle and rear seats. The fuel gauge sender itself can be found under the panel, on top of the fuel tank. In order to access this, slide the rear seats as far back as possible and the middle seats as far back as possible
