Sliding door closer

My sliding door closer has stopped working , the fuse is ok ,the electrical connection are good and the contacts are clean , my van is a 2003 2 L petrol hard top any Ideas please

I have 5 volts at the door pillar , I assume this is correct

Well some of the pins sensing the switch positions etc will have 5 volts, yes. But the door motor pins will have a full 12 volts on them when they are powered.
