Can anyone identify this pipe and hose?

Post by oibaf » Mon May 24, 2021 11:37 am

Hi folks,
Just looking for help identifying a the hoses in the picture below. I've looked at the coolant system diagrams (specifically the one here: viewtopic.php?t=54222#p541602 ) but can't really work out where that blue-tee piece is. Obviously added by a previous owner but I don't know where in the system it is or even if it looks alright.

I took this picture under the driver's side of the Bongo I've been looking at buying. You can see the fuel filter and air filter housing above it. Apologies that the pic isn't the best quality.

Here's another pic of the underside (looking toward the front). I've circled the coolant drain nipple on one of the pipes there. You can see that the underside, in general, isn't too bad.

Is it not a rear heater hose that has had the pipe "T" piece replaced see https://bongoland.co.uk/wp-content/uplo ... /6125A.gif specifically 62-2D1 I'm not an expert on the hoses / pipes so could be wrong but the "T" piece seems in the right place ?

There is a page https://bongoland.co.uk/identifying-your-hose/ in the shop for identifying all the pipes/ hoses.

I'd say it's 61-2D1 is it? I can't spot a "62-SD1"...

This would mean this van does have a rear heater matrix still in place then. I thought it had been removed before.

Hi, I think I have the same issue here on my 1998 2500TD. I have a leak from the T-piece and an struggling to identify the pipe and hoses. I think it is the driver side water pipe (long pipe with the T-piece on the end), but I cant identify the hoses. The one on the T (spigot) definitely needs sorting.

Can anyone help?

cheers, Mike N

61-213 is the over the starter motor one to the engine from the T piece. Listed in the bongo shop as rear heater hoses.
