I have disconnected both negative terminals on the SB and LB, held the brake for 10+ seconds, reconnected, started and idled for a couple of minutes. The errors are still showing on the led and hold light on the dash. Do you need to have the jumper and led wires disconnected to do the error reset?

No as far as I know the error codes stay until the problem is resolved, then they will reset themselves as it were.
