Post by tonnee » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:31 am

Thinking of getting one of these for my roof as it has a few marks and scratches on it, anyone ever fitted one, easy/hard ?

Cheers Guys, love the Zebra print!

I'll give him a call over the next week or so and see if he can supply and fit for me

I unsuccessfully tried to fit one myself. Apparently you don't need to use soapy water like on most decals. I did and ended up ruining the backing paper!

They come in a number of sections and once the jigsaw is worked out, away you go.

I will try again as I like the look

Eeyore just asked why you didn't read the instructions and I said I can only assume that he's a man and men don't read instructions because "we just know!"

The decals are quite easy to fit they come in sections put the cross on first then each corner,
They can be put on wet BUT it has to be a very warm day and you have to be quick.
Applying wet will help with the removal of bubbles,
But i find it much easyer to apply dry.
The problem you have with applying decals that are seperate on the application tape is
If your not quick enough or its to cold the glue can come away from the application tape, when this happens the sections will
Come away from the correct position.
Applying wet works better with solid state decals,

Lol still makes me giggle scot, looks sweet.

:D I'll have to get one, my roof is fading alittle and this would be perfect. The only problem is which one to get.

Nobody's worse than me at applying decals! I'm a definite apply decals wet man! If the adhesive survives the decal can then at least be peeled back a little and straightened out. Thankfully i have an expert decal fitter just up the road from me...When i watch him apply decs dry, i really am watching in awe! You've heard the phrase "he makes it look easy"?
