facelift for a facelift

Post by Scott » Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:56 am

I've always preferred the newer shape grill to the style with the slats on the new shape vans. I finally found one on eBay and I think it makes a tidy little update :D

Must admit, I hadn't realised there were different types of new shape grille (other than between bongo & freda), looks good, but you'll have to get a bonnet bra made to match the orientatin of the "checks" now
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

I really wanted a silver and white bonnet bra but no-one made one :(

I only have it on during 'road surfacing time' round here, my honda looked like it was shot with a machine gun before it went a couple of months ago, don't want it happening to the van too and this one was a present so it would be impolite not to use it :D

Nice! So now you have an Aero grille too Scott! Don't they fill the moulded swageline on top of the bumper way better than a standard new shape grille? Look after it though mate...Nearly £400 for a new one! ( I should know) :?

It does look much better than the old one, also rounds of the front end a little better :D

Looks like my £32 delivered from ebay was an absolute bargain then

A definite bargain! =D> =D> =D> A grille swap the other way round won't work though (for any "aero" owners out there) A standard new shape grille comes up short on an AERO bumper leaving a 1" gap  (trust me... Been there done that) #-o
