Upgrading the gas supply

Post by ellieban » Fri Jan 15, 2021 11:48 am

Can anyone point me to someone that might be willing to help me upgrade the gas supply in my Bongo?

I need to get it gas safe register compliant so I can get a safety certificate. It's failed because the air vent is 5cm too close to the exhaust, which sounds like a trivial problem, but which unfortunately it's more serious than it sounds and probably needs a middling amount of work to fix.

I've got the regulations and someone willing to issue the certificate once the work has been done, so the fitter doesn't need to be registered, although it would be quicker and easier all round of they were and could issue the certificate as soon as the work is complete.

I live in the Scottish Highlands, and I can't find anyone round here willing to even take a look for me!

I'm willing to travel if necessary, once it's safe to do so.

Welcome!
Who is asking for a safety certificate ?
As to the work do you have a local garage that might seal the existing drop-out hole and drill a new one and move the vent ?
