Something to make folded seats more comfy?
Hi - we have an unconverted Bongo and, following a rather uncomfortable first night's sleep on the folded seats, I was wondering if anyone had some tried and tested ideas for what to put on top to make it more comfy? The less bulky and more compact the better

We use the centre and rear seats foled to make the bed and some cheapo sunbed covers from Aldi is what we use. Double folded on the first bit of the seat which is slightly lower than the rest when laid flat. Not brilliant but no bad backs yet.

Ah, great idea - I'd seen some in my local Aldi but hadn't made the connection - this is why I need this websitenotlob wrote:We use the centre and rear seats foled to make the bed and some cheapo sunbed covers from Aldi is what we use. after trying all sorts of things and still feeling unconfy I bought a 5cm think memory foam mattress (£30 off amazon). I cut it to shape and made my own cover (out of a duvet cover). Works brilliantly - we didn't want to get up at the weekend, just kept putting the kettle on again

Seats flat, very thin camping mats, followed by memory foam mattress. and if it is cold a double duvet under you then a double over. Roasty toasty and sooooooo comfy.

Thanks, that's a kind offer, I'm thinking I'll improvise for now and consider all the options, particularly as currently unsure if my son will definitely sleep in the pop topthe laird wrote:I have a memory mattress for unconverted bongo mines was a seven seater folded flat and great sleep

Re: Something to make folded seats more comfy?
One thing I hope everyone does is take the headrests out and refit them back to front as this gets rid of the most obvious lumps in the double bed. I find it really comfy with just a thin self inflating mattress beneath me.
Re: Something to make folded seats more comfy?
If I'm honest a memory foam onesie would indeed do the job. It wouldn't matter where or how you slept either - get rid of all sorts of comfort related issues. Maybe we should get together and invent one and I'm told that the kettle doesn't really suit me so no photos I'm afraid
