Dave, I found the best way to get a meet going is to research the area, pref with loads of free parking, food near by and a public loo. Then name a date, place and time. I have found that a meet needs a leader who makes the decisions and then the rest will fall into place.
I have been disappointed only once with the turn out. I arrange most of the monthly meets here in the Southwest. We regularly get between 10 to 20 Bongo turn up.

Best of luck

Dave

Thanks for that tip, i arranged one down at Studland last month, i surveyed the area for everything you have suggested for that meet, one other member turned up!

And then you read on the forum that members in Dorset/Hants/New Forest say not a lot happens!

Still i wont give up because as you drive around Poole,Bournemouth and The New Forest you see loads of Bongos.

Once again thanks.

We would be up for a meet somewhere in the Forest, subject to suitable dates etc.

DorsetDave
We wanted to come to your meet at Studland, but this was the weekend that Bongo was seized up - but well done for arranging it.

Hi Chipvan. Yes all sorted. =D> Bongo seemed to free herself but AJC Classics took her away to give a thorough checkover. We were very pleased with their service. I suppose we had got used to Paul of Furze Motors keeping her in tip-top order and feel a bit lost now that he has gone.
We were sorry that the turnout at Studland was disappointing and felt sorry for poor DorsetDave who had gone to the trouble of organising it. Studland would have been an ideal location for a meet. We went there to celebrate getting Bongo six years ago. Could have been the cold weather that put people off. We will try to make the next one.
